Beautiful Gunbari is a Korean webtoon that follows the story of the life of Jung Soo-Ah, a compulsory police officer in a fictional version of South Korea where women are required to serve in the military just like men due to the introduction of a conscription system for women in the early 1990s. She becomes a conscript and enlists in the police force in 2006 in this alternate reality.
